Rich Van Der Groot

Rich Van Der Groot

Richard was a competitive athlete for many years throwing shot and sprinting. He was introduced to rugby by a coach which used to attend his athletics club. Richard played back row and second row before Steve Redfern coached him to play loose head prop, which is pretty much where he has played during most of his representative rugby.

Richard has a level 2 Coaches Award. His coaching experience also includes WASPS Ladies Power Coach, Fitness Coach and the Radcliffe School 1st XV Forwards Coach.
