Here is some recent feedback from Richard:

"I WOULD JUST LIKE TO SAY A HUGE THANK YOU TO YOU ALL. AS A COMPETING POWERLIFTER I AM IN THE GYM 5-6 TIMES PER WEEK. SINCE I STARTED TAKING YOUR LAMUSCLE WHEY PROTEIN I'VE BEEN SURPRISED BY HOW QUICKLY I RECOVER FROM WORK OUTS. IT IS DEFINETLY THE BEST TASTING AND EASIEST MIXING PROTEIN I HAVE USED, PLUS IT REALLY DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE. I HAVE JUST ADDED ANOTHER 2 BRITISH TITLES TO MY COLLECTION AND I AM NOW TRAINING HARD FOR THE EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS IN HOLLAND IN 7 WEEKS TIME. THE MORE LA WHEY I TAKE, THE MORE CONFIDENT I BECOME OF RETAINING MY TITLE. THANKS AGAIN TO THE SPONSORSHIP TEAM."

Another recent email from Richard:

"HI THERE TO EVERYONE AT LAMUSCLE, AS ONE OF YOUR SPONSORED ATHLETES I HAVE BEEN USING LA WHEY PROTEIN POWDER. WHAT AN EXCELLENT PRODUCT. I HAVE JUST RETURNED FROM THE EUROPEAN POWERLIFTING CHAMPIONSHIPS IN HOLLAND. NOT ONLY DID I RETAIN MY EUROPEAN TITLE I ALSO BROKE 3 WORLD RECORDS. ALL THIS AND I WEIGHED IN 10 KILOS LIGHTER THAN AT THE BRITISH CHAMPIONSHIPS 11 WEEKS AGO. JUST PROVES YOU CAN LOSE WEIGHT AND MAKE STRENGTH GAINS IF YOU TAKE LAMUSCLE SUPPLEMENTS. I CANT WAIT TO DEFEND MY WORLD TITLE IN NOVEMBER IN GERMANY. IT GOES WITHOUT SAYING I WILL DEFINETLY BE USING LAMUSCLE SUPPLEMENTS. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR HELP AND FOR PRODUCING TOP QUALITY SUPPLEMENTS, ONES THAT ACTUALLY WORK. THANK YOU AGAIN"

Richard's competition in June 2005 went well, he took a gold medal in both the powerlifting and the bench press setting 3 new world records over the weekend. He has also just recently won the British Powerlifting Championships held in Bath university on 22nd of April 2006.

Now Richard is preparing for European Championships in Vienna and hopes to push the records higher. He will carry on lifting till the next year's championships being held in Mexico and after that is seriously considering retiring from the competitive side and and maybe starting to coach young lifters.

Spring 2006 update from RIchard:

"During the day I work in a factory making high quality hand made matteresses, in the evenings I work as a door superviser 5 nights a week. I train at least 4 times a week, which at the moment is chest and legs on a Monday and Wednesday and then back and biceps on a Tuesday and Thursday.

I train squats, bench press and deadlift heavy once a week. diet is the usual high protien diet of chicken, tuna and chicken, andto this rice and jacket potatos and thats  just about it. The competition I just won was the B.P.O. BRITISH POWERLIFTING CHAMPIONSHIPS which was held at bath university. the competition lasted all of Saturday on 22 April. the competition is split into different weigh classes. I lift in the 140 kilo + class and as I am 45 years old I fall into the masters catagory which is for lifters over 40 years old. I have always been interested in strength competitions and started training in 1977 when I was 16 years.

At the moment I am the current British, European and Eorld champion. I also hold the world records in the masters class for the squat, bench press, dead lift and total.Iit is hard fitting in 2 jobs and all the training, there never seems to be enough time in the day. The hardest thing is finging time to rest, which is very important as your body can not recover and grow if you don't get enough rest. I now have 7 weeks to prepare for the European championships which are being held in Vienna. There I hope to be better prepared than at the British and push the world records higher.

At the bigger competitions things can get very tense but most lifters are
very friendly and help each other out. Hopefully I can carry on lifting
to my high standard until next year's world championships which are being held in Mexico, then I am thinking of retiring from the competitive side and maybe start coaching a couple of young lifters.

Because the sport is not very high profile it is hard to get new blood into the sport, although this years British Championships was well promoted and was broadcast on the internet on www.sportuk.tv. I sent a report to the local newspaper ( the Somerset Guardian ) but it was not printed,  local tv was also contacted but no crew turned up. More tv coverage would definatly help."
