Darrell James

James Darrell has a long history of competing. His journey started in 1998, when he gained a black belt in Taekwan Do.

In 2000 he won the Welsh Closed Championships at middle- weight and continued to do consecutively for the next three years.

2003 saw him winning W.U.M.A Welsh full contact championships at black belt. He achieved his 2nd dan in Taekwan Do in 2000, 3rd in 2003 and 4th in 2007. At 42 James realised his physique was not to his liking and decided on a change of direction towards bodybuilding.

The first bodybuilding show he entered was the N.P.A South West Championships, where he was placed 6th of 6. However this event proved a valuable one, 4 out of the top 5 athletes were sponsored by LA Muscle.

This sparked his curiosity and he began using LA Muscle products and watching La Muscle TV, to improve his training and diet regime. In 2010 he entered the N.P.A South West Championships again, but this time won the silver trophy.

He has set his sights high and with the help of LA Muscle, his Future Goals are:

• Winning the 2012 South West Show
• Competing and winning N.P.A British Finals
