Sam Caborn is a 22 year old footballer from Sheffield
Sam began his football endeavours at a young age working his way through the youth divisions. Achievements to date
- 2000 scouted by Sheffield Wednesday FC
- 2006 Scouted by Leeds United FC
- Overcoming a ruptured ACL
Sam was able to recover from a ruptured ACL and was rewarded for his effort by gaining the interest of several soccer programmes in the USA. After being offered scholarships from 8 different colleges Sam decided to join Waldorf College, Iowa, USA.
Greatest achievement:
- Being a student athlete for Men’s Soccer at Waldorf College
Sam was able to have a successful season due to his intensive training which gave him a foundation for the season ahead. “I was doing 2 sessions a day in the build up to going out to the states and I used LA Whey in order to get the protein required to allow my muscles to grown and repair. I find the LA Whey to be the best protein on the market in combination with a diet rich in lean proteins, fruit and vegetables.”
Ambitions for the future:
- Play my football at the highest level possible
- Complete my university degree and return to the USA
Sam’s current training involves a significant amount of weight training, involving high reps. This training, alongside cardio, had allowed him to develop huge strength gains which increase his speed, explosive power and strength. “My training has increased my confidence and I have the mentality that I’m capable of beating any player on the pitch for strength, speed or power.”
