It’s that time of the year where the weather quickly turns cold and it seems that everyone is getting ill. When this happens it’s important to do whatever you can to make sure you don’t catch it and end up spending a week or two under the weather.
This healthy ginger shot recipe comes with a vitamin boost that’s certain to keep your immune system in top condition and ready to fight off any cold and flu viruses that come your way. It also comes with a kick but for those who want it kick-free that part can be optional! Whether it’s to fight off a cold or flu or taken at any other time of the year, this shot can provide a much needed energy boost and keep you strong and healthy.
INGREDIENTS
- Juice of 1 large lemon
- 1 large apple, skinned, cored and chopped
- 40-60g ginger, chopped
- 1 tsp turmeric (optional)
- 2 tsp honey
- Dash of black pepper
Yields 8-10 servings
DIRECTIONS
- Put all the ingredients into a blender or food processor.
- Blend for up to 1 min, until smooth.
- Serve into shot glass or serve in small cup, should be around
40ml.
