We all know that chicken is a great source of protein, especially the breast. Not only is it high in protein but it also contains zero carbs and very little fat too. Chicken is a stable food for anyone looking to add some lean muscle size and for professional bodybuilders.

However, it can tend to get a bit repetitive, bland and boring if you are having it day in day out.

LA Muscle have come up with this incredible recipe which is not only high in protein but packs a flavoursome punch that combines the right ingredients to feed your growing muscles. This burger is great to have post-workout or as a meal to help add some serious size and power to your hard working workouts.

Ingredients

  • 100-200g chicken breast (skinless)
  • 1 burger bun (white or brown is fine) depending on your diet and goals
  • 1 low fat slice cheese - good source of protein, low in carbs and fat
  • Pinch of lettuce - for some flavour
  • A dash of light mayo - to add the ultimate twist to the burger

Directions

  • Cook the chicken on a grill removing all the skin
  • Toast the burger bun in a toaster or heat it an oven (whichever you prefer)
  • Once the chicken is cooked placed it on the bottom of the bun
  • Add the cheese and mayo followed by the lettuce.
  • Enjoy
