Ann says: "My initial goal in taking up powerlifting was to spend more time with my husband who also competes. Upon taking it up I found that I was able to gain strength but loose weight with the use of quality supplements. As I have progressed in the sport I have been fortunate to win titles but also have found joy in teaching others and getting more women involved in the sport, this has gone onto the coaching of not only able bodied but pan disability groups under the basis of sport for all."
In the future Ann wants to develop her own training and to set more records. She would also like to develope community sport, encourage more women to take up sport, gain qualifications and be the best she can be.
