David George Coleman

David is a Discus and Hammer Thrower. His achievements are:

• National Schools athletics championships in Nottingham, 2002, 3rd place in the intermediate boys discus
• National Amateur Athletic Association Championships (AAA's) of England Under 17 championships, 7th place
• UK ranking at the end of the 2001/2002 season, 13th in discus
• Competed in the South of England, under 20 championships in the shot putt and discus. Came 7th in shot putt and 4th in discus. In both events he threw the qualifying distance for the European trials
• Competed in the European trials in shot putt and discus and was placed 7th overall
• National ranking for 2003 U20 age group-16 for the discus
• European trials for discus, finished 11th in 2005
• European trials for discus, finished 7th 2006
• Competing in the British Athletics League in Cardiff Athletics Club
• Competing in the British Universities Sports Association (BUSA)
• Championships for University of Wales Institute Cardiff (UWIC)
• 2006 BUSA Championships, indoors, finished 7th of 35 other athletes in the shot putt
• 2006 BUSA championships outdoors, finished 7th in shot putt, 4th in Hammer and qualified for the Discus final 2nd place
• Placed 8th at UK World Trials
• Moved up to 10th in UK senior ranks
• Ranked 4th All time indoors
• 178th World Ranking
• Personal best improved to 56.60 m
• Placed 7th at the Bedford International Games
• Placed 4th in England Championships
• Invited to compete at the world indoors in Sweden, placed 5th
• County Champion for Senior Men discus

David's plans for future are:

• Compete in European U23 championships and World Student Games
• London 2012 Olympic games
