Will Golder & Kevan Crowell

Will and Kevan are a Jersey based 1 & 2 man bob crew. They are both in their third and second seasons respectively, however it is only the last 12 months that they have competed at such a high level.

In January 2008 they competed in the British Army Junior Championships and came first in Winterburg, Germany. Having proved themselves they moved on to the British Championships at Igls (Austria) at the end of February 2008, where they came 12th but were the highest placed civilian crew.

With performances improving all the time they set targets for the 2008 season and trained throughout the summer. The British Championships for that season took place at the beginning of November in Cesana (Italy) where they came 7th and were unfortunate not to finish any higher. Nevertheless their performance during the competition was good enough to gain them, as a crew, a call up to join the Europa Cup squad for 2 cup events in St Moritz and Cesana at the end of January 2009.

In the next season they would like to compete in at least 2 Europa Cup events prior to Christmas, which will then qualify them for the World Junior Championships in early February 2009. The winter Olympics is in late February/ March of 2010 and there is a chance that they may be present even as a squad member.
