Sean Kayes
National champion in 50, 100 and 200m freestyle and backstroke
Sean is a semi- pro Swimmer.
Sean has swum in the Sub- Sahara Invitational in Malawi, every year since 2004. He is a National champion in 50, 100, 200 metres in both freestyle and backstroke.
Sean was recently offered and accepted a place on the Olympic Development Team for this year in Beijing. He also achieved a scholarship at St Bedes private school.
In England he has competed in many competitions such as County and Southern Regional meets. At St Bedes he trains for 24 hours a week. This is one of the toughest and most disciplined training clubs in England.
Sean’s long term goals are to represent Malawi internationally in the Sub- Sahara Galas for many years to come. He also wants to represent Malawi in the Commonwealth Games in 2010 and to represent Malawi or England in the 2012 Olympic Games.
