Joe Wall

Joe is a young competitive swimmer, surf life saver and water polo player. His achievements are:

• Swimming

Joe has been swimming since he was 5 years old, and competitively at county level since the age of 11. He gained few medals in county events and development galas. He sees swimming as an extremely good way to keep fit and to keep his two favourite sports- Surf Life Saving and Water Polo- at a high and competitive level.

• Surf Life Saving

In 2008 Joe was selected to compete in the Legacy Events Iron Man which took place at the Croyde Beach (Devon). He also competes in the indoor nationals and open water nationals and has done since he was 7 years old. In the 2007 Open Water nationals he came 2nd in the board race, 4th in the swim and also gained medals in the team events.
In the 2008 Open Water nationals he was 1st in the board rescue, 2nd in the tube rescue, 3rd for the iron man, board race, board relay and double ski and 4th in the swim and 1km run.
In 2010 Joe competed in the Ironman Event at Croyde Beach again, where he placed 2nd overall in the U18 category.

• Water polo

Joe won the South West Championships with Barnstaple water polo club in the U15 age group . He also scored the winning goal in the final game. He won the Devon League and Devon Cup last year in the U17 category with the Barnstaple water polo club. In 2009 he was selected to play in the nationals for Exeter.

Joe has been keeping active over the past year. His recent achievements are as follows.
