James has competed in Bazilian Jiu Jitsu for over 2 years in both UK and abroad. His career highlights are
- Represented Great Britain at the World Martial Arts Games in Regensburg, Germany- July 2007
- Represented Great Britain at the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu European Championships in Lisbon, Portugal- January 2008
- Represented Great Britain at the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu European Championships, Lisbon, Portugal- January 2009
- Represented Great Britain at the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Pan American Championships, Los Angeles, California- March 2009
- December 2009- awarded blue belt
Apart from these major championships James has also competed in a number of competitions in the UK:
- Welsh Jiu Jitsu Championships, 2007, 3rd place
- Worcester "No-Gi" Championships 2007, 2nd place
- European Fight Network, Southern Open 2007, 2nd place
- European Fight Network, Northern Open 2007, 3rd place
- Bristol Open 2009, 3rd place
- Celtic Open 2009, 1st place
- Essex Open 2009, 1st place
- UMA Groundfighting Championships 2009,1st place
- January 2010- Bristol Open- second competition at blue belt- won the bronze medal
In the nearest future James would like to add more medals to his collection. In the long- run he hopes to win all three Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Competitions more than once, and to achieve his black belt.
