Denton Wilson

Initially starting out in Martial Arts in his late teens, athlete Denton Wilson has come a long way since representing his country in the sport. However, after becoming a proud father, Denton found that he didn’t have as much time to train as he had before, so he decided to stop competing altogether.

Recently Denton has made an impressive comeback into Natural BodyBuilding by achieving 2nd place in the over 50's at the Central Britain Competition held in Doncaster, October 2011.

The man with a big heart also uses his success to try to be a role model to youngsters in his community. With over 20 years of experience and a qualified Youth and Community Worker (as well as bodybuilder), Denton also works as a Peripatetic Drugs and Alcohol Coordinator. He has been actively involved in increasing awareness and helping prevent the effects of drugs, alcohol abuse and gun & knife crime amongst today’s society.

Denton’s regular contact with people, whose families and friends had suffered and whose lives have been devastated by substance abuse and violent crime, motivated him to do something about it. After carrying out extensive research, this brave individual developed an innovative educational program that is now accredited by the Metropolitan Police. As part of this program he has written a series of six educational books aimed at children aged nine upwards on these specific subjects.
