This is a fantastic muscle building recipe that is easy to make and packed full of protein and Italian goodness.
500g stewing beef
1 x red onion, chopped
4 cloves garlic, crushed
4 sticks celery
Fresh thyme, parsley and oregano
500ml beef stock
2 x tins chopped tomatoes
1 x broccoli
4 x carrots
A few handfuls of fresh green beans
Fry off the stewing beef in a little oil and salt and pepper until golden brown.
Add the red onion, garlic, celery, fresh herbs and continue to fry for a few minutes.
Add the beef stock and chopped tomatoes and reduce the heat down to a simmer. Leave to simmer until the beef is tender. Once the beef is tender, steam or microwave the broccoli, carrots and fresh green beans with crushed garlic, salt and lemon juice.
Serve the tender beef ragu with a small sprinkling of parmesan, more fresh herbs and salt and pepper.
