Adam is a competitive swimmer and lifesaver. Here's a list of his achievements:
- Ulster Champion- 100mts Freestyle- Ulster Age Group Championships 2005
- 6th in Ulster 50mts Freestyle- Ulster Open Swimming Championhips 2004
- 2nd in Ulster- Ulster Open Lifesaving Championships 2006
- British Overall U18 Champion- National Speed Lifesaving Championships- Sheffield 2003
- 2nd in Britain- 200m Super Lifesaver- National Speed Championships Sheffield 2005
- 24th World Ranking- Rescue Tube Race- World Lifesaving Championships- Italy 2004
- Commonwealth Bronze Medalist- Commonwealth Games Lifesaving- South Africa 2003
His main goals for 2006/2007 include:
- To make Northern Ireland Lifesaving Squad for the Commonwealths in Spetember 2006
- Go to Commonwealths for Lifesaving and achieve higher than a Bronze medal- September 2006
- Get within the top 6 in Ulster again for the 50 and 100mts Freestyle at the Ulster open swimming championships in December 2006
- Come within the top 3 in Ireland at the all Ireland Lifesaving Championships in September 2006
- Go to Nationals for Lifesaving Representing Ireland 2007
- Go to World Lifesaving Championships in 2008 to compete for Ireland
