Darren Burridge was born in Essex and has quickly become a standout talent on the British circuit. He began his training in his late teens with the FWA Academy, and would go on to appear in the Frontier Wrestling Alliance promotion. Shortly after wrestling amongst guys like Aviv Maayan at the now acclaimed FWA Academy, he moved to Dropkixx training school where he was spotted by "The Gay One" Vince Randall and Bobby Barnes.
He would first addopt the same gay gimmick comedy routine used by these two World of Sport legends as "Exotic" Baxter Buridge but once established on the independent circuit he soon adapted in to his well-known King of Chavs gimmick "The Pukka One" Darren Burridge. He would also wrestle outside UK in places like Thailand, Ireland, Austria, Germany, Italy and Sicily.
Darren's first major break occured for Irish Whip Wrestling where he became a standout fan favourite and appeared at their first supershow, which featured talent such as Christopher Dnaiels and AJ Styles, back in March 2005. Then, at 1PW's a Cruel Twist of Fate's pre-show he won the proving ground battle royal, last eliminating Chad Collyer in what was dubbed as a major upset. Burridge then defied his critics with a major victory of the 'Anarchist' Doug Williams on the first night of No Turning back to advance to the final 8 of the 1PW World title tournament at All or Nothing. Though he lost to eventual winner Abyss in the first round, he cartainly cemented his place in 1PW and proved he does belong amongst the best in the World.
