Jamie Anderson

2003 World Junior Rowing Champion, Winner of the Treble!

Jamie Anderson

For such a young man, Jamie has certainly achieved a great deal. He started rowing 3.5 years ago at school and has been in the top boat for each year, winning almost 40 separate events; this year, winning a place in the 1st eight. He has also won the TReble and is shortly going to Coupe.

Last season he represented GB (in the mens coxless 4) in the Franco-British International Match. He has more recently been in the GB team for the Munich International Regatta where he rowed in the winning coxless four ,the pair and eight. He also recently finished 4th overall in the UK [at the junior spring assessment], and fast achieving very quick times (96% of the World Champs gold medal time).

Jamie began his rowing career at Abingdon School, quickly rising through the ranks as one of the school's top performers; rowing in it's historic Triple Champion 1st VIII of 2002.

He has also represented Great Britain in International competitions including:
European Junior Championships 2002 (pair): Bronze
Munich Junior International Regatta 2003 (pair): Gold
World Junior Championships 2003 (eight): Gold

As a winner of the Schools Head of the River Race, National Schools Regatta and the Princess Elizabeth Cup at Henley Royal Regatta, together with his National Championship open Gold medal and international success – he is one of a small number of ex-junior oarsmen who can claim to have won every major title in junior rowing, and is one of the few British World Champions.

The British Olympic Association officially recognises Jamie as a potential Olympic athlete, and he is currently aspiring to win more international medals with the Great Britain team.

Jamie is curently using Bio_Activator to help him with his recovery, muscle & strength. On Bio_Activator Jamie says:

"Bio_Activator is proving to be extremely helpful. Training 12 times a week is very demanding, and I used to really suffer from over training. I noticed the change within literally one day. I get very little muscle soreness using B_A, and my training can be even more effective, because I'm now able to push harder than before."
