Owen first became involved with the Scottish Wrestling Alliance through Area 52, Scotland's dedicated pro wrestling training school. This was aproximately two years ago and in that time he was fortunate enough to train under the guidance of Scotland's best trainers including current NWA British Heavyweight Champion and fellow LA Muscle sposored athlete "Conscience" and many more.
He graduated onto the SWA Roster in mid 2006, debuting alongside his tag team partner Kolobos. Since then he's competed in singles and tag team matches at all of the SWA's regular venues. He made a firm commitmend at the beginning of 2007 to become the best wrestler he could be, and has been making constant progress towards that goal.
Owen's biggest achievement to date was the Battlezone- an annual multiple- competitor event. He has also been involved in the business side of wrestling. Most notable to date has been his involvement in SWA: NXT, a sister promotion of the Scottish Wrestling Alliance which exists to promote professional wrestling as a sport, not a soap opera, and to give up and comming talent a chance to showcase their skills.
Another organisation Owen is involved in is the SWA: After Hours, an extreme wrestling product aimed at over 18 year olds. After hours will debut in September and will hold shows in nightclubs and live music venues across Scotland. He is also a co-promoter of The Gathering, the biggest show in the history of Scottish wrestling, which will take place in the Sports Arena in Glasgow.
Owen has also made a massive improvement in his physique since becoming involved in wrestling. He developed childhood obesity due to his poor diet and sedentary lifestyle. By the age of 15 he weighed well over 90kg. His involvement in judo helped with this, but it wasn't until he began wrestling training that he commited himself to serious programme.
Owen's future goals:
- secure a stable position on the upper micard of SWA shows
- capture the SWA tag team champions along with his tag team partner Kolobos
- build an imposing physique through effective training, nutrition and supplementation
- further his involvment with the business side of wrestling and work to build the profile of the sport in Scotland
- act as a positive representative of the sport of professional wrestling through his own conduct and attitude in interaction with fans and the media
- secure bookings with other wrestling promotions around the country.
Besides training and competing in the SWA Owen spends his time running a Glasgow based concert promotions company called Punny Human Promotions. PHP Specialises in promoting hard rock and heavy metal bands and also runs SIN, Glasgow's only heavy metal night club.
