English National League hockey player
Nicholas has played competitive Junior Ice Hockey for 8 seasons now. His achievements are:
- At 17 years old has been invited to train and play for the newly created team- English National League, formed in Cardiff. The first year they came 2nd in the Southern league which resulted in going to the National Finals, where they came 2nd again.
- Made the South West conference Team U17 where he was scouted and picked for the Winter Olympics Programme for Vancouver 2010.
- Went to Lofer, Austria to the GB Olympic Games Candidates training camp for 2 weeks; made the Great Britain U18's team the following year
- Selected to play the England U19's against Scotland U19, where they won at the Elite play off weekend (he takes this as official begining of his hockey career)
- Has been offered a two way contract with the Elite Team Cardif Devils and Romford Raiders for the 2007/2008 season, which he had accepted
In the last few years he has also been attending full time college in between the ice hockey training and gym; he is now gladly a qualified fitness instructor.
Nick's plans for future are to be successful and play at the highest level that he can achieve in Ice Hockey and one day to become and ice hockey coach.
