How much vitamin C would you say is optimum for a daily dose, i do suffer with my health since having gladular fever a few years ago. I would use multi protector but is expensive, is a good multi vitamin really value for money if you are eating reasonably well.
This is a very good question, and the answer very much depends on who you talk to!
In addition, eating 'reasonably well' can mean different things to different people.
I would strongly recommend a well-balanced, healthy nutrition program, full of fresh (preferably organic) fruit and vegetables. You may wish to consult a qualified dietician / nutritional therapist.
Supplements are certainly useful at times of illness, mental / physical stress, and whilst when undertaking an exercise program. You may wish to read COLD BEATER (www.coldbeater.com). A good all-round multi-vitamin and mineral supplement should suffice.
The recommended daily allowance for vitamin C is only 60mg per day, though doses can go up to 1000mg per day.
However, supplements can also be useful therapeutically in case you suffer from a specific condition - and for this, I would recommend you consult your licensed physician and nutritional therapist.
