Q. I'm a 28 yr old with male pattern baldness. I am currently taking a product called Propecia, which I've heard will lower my testosterone level? I work out 4 times a week and really would like to bulk up but I cannot take any tablets, which will increase my testosterone levels. I have took Oxandrolone and it made my hair thin out so I was wondering are there any anabolic steroids that would be suitable for me???
Propecia actually inhibits the conversion of testoserone (T) to dihydrotestosterone (DHT) by blocking the activity of the enzyme 5-alpha-reductase. Propecia does NOT decrease serum T; it decreases DHT. Fortunately, DHT is NOT required for muscle growth. Therefore, there is no reason why a bodybuilder should avoid taking propecia for hair growth. Propecia is quite effective for most men. I am against the use of steroids for bulking up, and do not advocate them at all to any of my clients. Try instead Norateen Heavyweight II, as although this is not a steroid, and is a natural plant extract, it is a very strong product, which will certainly increase your testosterone levels.
