Mixing different supplements

Q. I'm trying to lose fat round my lower abs and hips but keep my muscles. Is it wise to take protein shakes, Norateen HW II, Fatstriper, Nobese, Sculpt at the same time, or will I be pushing it a bit too far? If I am pushing it, what would you advise me to take?

Each of the supplements you have listed will play a specific role in helping you attain your ideal physique.

However, the supplements will only work optimally if your nutrition is good and you are consistent with it. The same with your training program, meaning that in order to burn fat around your lower abdominals, which is one of the hardest places to shift it from, you need to be consistent in progressing the resistance of your workouts in order for you body to 'need to adapt'. This doesn't necessarily mean always trying to push the weights up, but could be changing from a heavy workout with lower reps, to a more moderate workout with higher reps, or by employing drop sets instead of straight sets. Keeping the body guessing will be one of your biggest tools to losing that last bit of weight.

Instead of buying every supplement that says it will help you burn fat and gain muscle, try next time to limit the supplements you take for the first few weeks, and then try adding in others, or changing them for different supplements, and keep notes from day-to-day/week-to-week to see what differences you see.
